The Liver Meridian has as it’s high trait the concepts of Freedom and Giving. This personality type is very helpful in a naturally balanced way which serves to liberate everyone they come into contact with. The liver also seeks challenge and pushes to the limit, they relish and enjoy working under pressure with much success. An admiration for speed, novelty and skill coupled with the love of action, movement and adventure create very dynamic characteristics and actions if you know someone with these high traits. Most likely these friends are those who like to be first, best and the only one to achieve. This personality type is based in the emotional world, they are typically the most likable of anyone you know! The Liver personality type has an innate understanding of liberation and freedom. The sense of freedom is very integral to their sense of well being. If they feel they are trapped they will mysteriously disappear. Liver people are very sensitive to the emotional needs of others and the art of giving is an permanent part of their personality. They are often very proud, assertive and independent which goes along with their innate need for freedom. They are very adept at strategy.

Low Traits

When not being themselves, they become co-dependent. They will repress their own desires instead of creating a more liberated atmosphere. Frustration and resentment are two emotions that will be the first to take over if the liver personality type is out of balance. Typical problems facing a liver personality are intolerance and impatience, they tend to have volatile emotions and can often be extremist. When being extreme they may become impulsive or the reverse, over-disciplined, or self-indulgent or self punishing. Vascular headaches, muscle spasms, high blood pressure, nerve inflammations, and migratory pain are typical ailments for liver personality. They seek to self medicate by using stimulants and sedatives. A more healthy way for this personality type to release tension is to create a practice of meditation or yoga or any practice that releases pressure build up.
